Rod's Story

Rod Schwartz describes the care and compassion he received at Pullman Regional Hospital during his eight days as a patient. As a long-time Pullman resident deeply involved in the community, Rod expected exceptional care from his community hospital, but was deeply touched by the genuine commitment of patient-focused care from each and every person involved with his care.

"Everyone that had anything to do with my care, the nurses, CNAs, respiratory therapists, they made it clear their whole purpose was to make me as comfortable as I could possibly be."

"I can’t imagine a facility being more comfortable. I can’t imagine a facility being any more patient focused. And I can’t imagine people having more compassion."

"When I was at my worst, you were at your best."
